The two blocks A and B are at rest in the position shown.

Given is the angle : γ = 28°

If the acceleration of block A is aA=5 m/s² to the left, what is the value of the acceleration of block B and in which direction ?
NOTE : Block B will stay in touch with the wall and will not rotate.
  1. For block A take the distance between the wall and its left edge as variable describing the location of block A
  2. For block B take the distance between its lower left point and the floor as a variable describing the location of block B.
  3. Find the geometric relationship between these two variables and differentiate.
