Determine acceleration using polar coordinates

The position of a collar that is sliding along a rod is given by :

R = 4 + 8 t - 2 t2     [inch]

where the time t is to be entered in seconds.
At the same time the rod rotates about the point 0 in the plane of the paper where the angle Θ is described by the equation :

Θ = 0.5 t2 + 0.1 t3    [rad]
Write out the equations for the components of the vector of acceleration of the collar using polar coordinates.
Please , don't try to simplify the two equations by multiplying and recombining terms. It won't give you any extra credits.
