#### Beam Deflection using Bracket Functions

A beam of length *L* is supported at either end and is subject to the
continuous load as shown
in the figure below. Consider the lengths *a, b, L* and the weight per
unit length, w_{o} [N/m], as given.

As function of these quantities determine:
- the equation for the two support forces R
_{1} and R_{2}.
- the equation for the internal moment M(x) as function of x.
**You must bracket functions **.
- Find the deflection curve E I y(x) = ..., but do NOT
determine the integration constants.
- State the boundary conditions for the deflection curve, but do NOT
determine the integration constants.
