Beam Deflection using Bracket Functions

A beam of length L is supported at either end and is subject to the continuous load as shown in the figure below. Consider the lengths a, b, L and the weight per unit length, wo [N/m], as given.
As function of these quantities determine:
  1. the equation for the two support forces R1 and R2.
  2. the equation for the internal moment M(x) as function of x. You must bracket functions .
  3. Find the deflection curve E I y(x) = ..., but do NOT determine the integration constants.
  4. State the boundary conditions for the deflection curve, but do NOT determine the integration constants.
