Conservation of Mass and Energy, transient open system
Initially a well-insulated tank is filled with 200 kg of liquid
water at atmospheric
pressure and T = 40 oC. Through an inlet valve 70 kg of
(T = 90 oC) are added and mix completely with the water already
inside the tank.
In addition, heating rods inside the tank are switched on adding 4500 KJ
of heat to the water.
Determine the final temperature of the water, assuming that the
water has a temperature-independent specific heat of c=2.2 kJ/(kg K).
